Those pesky brakes again… A truck driver is pointing the finger at his faulty brakes after crashing his lorry into a Krabi pharmacy. The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, May 2, in the Mueang district of Krabi, according to a Phuket Express report.

Police were notified of the collision on Sri Trang Road, by the Talad Gao Intersection, and arrived to find a truck that had smashed through a pharmacy. While there was significant damage to the property, it’s understood nobody was injured in the collision.

According to the 50 year old truck driver, named as Sirisak Chaiudom, he was travelling down a slope when he realised his brakes weren’t working. He says he decided to crash into the side of the road instead of colliding with cars waiting at the traffic lights.

Unfortunately, crashing into the side of the road meant being unable to stop before he collided with the pharmacy. According to the report, the driver has accepted responsibility for the collision and agreed to pay the pharmacy for the damage.
