Nation Thailand reports that the incident took place at the Thanarat Zone, a popular tourist attraction, on Monday, August 12.
The original footage was shared by TikTok user pinunkoi and shows a herd of 5 elephants emerging from a nearby forest and approaching the car park area.
One of them then decides to flip one of the cars, using her trunk to roll it over and push it around. The owner of a truck parked nearby can also be seen driving his vehicle away to get it out of harm’s way.
It’s understood the elephant in question is mother to a baby elephant, who walked away when his mother began playing with the car. Park officials managed to disperse the herd and nobody was injured in the incident.
