Krabi police arrest Indian man accused of stealing woman’s phone

Krabi Provincial Police have arrested an Indian man accused of stealing a phone from a Thai woman in Ao Nang. The Phuket Express reports that the man met the woman at a restaurant and engaged in conversation with her before allegedly pocketing her iPhone 8 Plus.

The report goes on to say that the unnamed woman filed an official complaint with Ao Nang Police and Krabi Provincial Court issued an arrest warrant for the Indian national. Police officers used CCTV footage to track down the suspect, who was arrested with the phone in his possession.

The unnamed suspect has been taken to Ao Nang Police Station, where he will be charged with theft.
