The Thai singer, Lisa, a member of the hugely popular South Korean band Blackpink, will join the cast of The White Lotus.
The popular HBO TV series will begin shooting its third season in Thailand this month, with Phuket, Koh Samui and Bangkok confirmed as filming locations. Lisa is scheduled to make her acting debut on the hit show, although exact details of her role have not been confirmed.
Lisa’s casting makes her the second member of the hugely popular K-Pop band to appear on an HBO show. Her bandmate Jennie appeared in The Idol last year, under the name Jennie Ruby Jane.
It’s understood Lisa, originally from the northeastern province of Buriram, will be credited on The White Lotus under her full name of Lalisa Manobal. The show is a dark comedy from the US, which chronicles the lives of guests and staff at a fictional holiday resort.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s YG Entertainment Inc have confirmed that all four Blackpink members have renewed their contracts with the label. The news caused the company’s share price to jump by nearly a third.
The popular K-Pop band set a Guinness record earlier this year, when their You Tube music channel was confirmed as being the most-viewed channel on the platform, with over 90 million subscribers.
