Police in Narathiwat, a southern province in Thailand, are currently investigating the murders of three men whose bodies were discovered in the trunk of a partially submerged sedan in Waeng district, bordering Malaysia, on Tuesday. The men, aged between 25 and 40, were found shirtless and had no identification documentation on their person.
Police suspect they were killed by unknown assailants using unidentified firearms and believe they had been deceased for approximately three days prior to discovery. Autopsies are currently being conducted on the bodies at Waeng district hospital.
The authorities suspect that the men were killed elsewhere before being disposed of in Mae Dong sub-district. To date, no missing persons have been reported from the Waeng district. In a related development, another man’s body was found not far from the scene of the triple homicide. Police are currently investigating any potential links between the two cases.
