A tourist from Taiwan has died while snorkelling in Krabi, according to a Phuket Express report. The man has been named as 36 year old Yueh Lee. Mueang Krabi Police say he was on a snorkelling trip near Koh Hong, in the sub-district of Khao Thong.

According to a friend of Mr Lee’s, they had been snorkelling in shallow water when lifeguards from the Than Bok Khorani National Park noticed Mr Lee had been face down and very still for some time. They then realised he was unconscious and attempted CPR.

According to the report, Mr Lee gained consciousness momentarily and was transported to hospital, where he later died.
