Opening of legal conference in Phuket

Phuket is one of Thailand’s most attractive locations for events and conferences. Despite the slow rise of tourist numbers in Thailand, Phuket has been able to attract a number of events in the region’s MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, events) sector.

On June 30, Phuket Governor, Narong Woonsew, chaired the opening ceremony of the 3rd Law Conference and Seminar of 2022 at Beyond Resort Kata Phuket.

Mercurial and long-standing Rawai Mayor, Aroon Solos, was also in attendance in the ceremony (pictured hosting the opening event).

The mayor welcomed delegates to the island.

“Phuket is a world destination and offers the some of the most beautiful beaches, such as Patong, Kata, and Karon, while also offering exquisite Sino-Portuguese architecture in the Phuket old town with a unique and delicious cuisine.

The National Municipal League groups consists of 12 municipalities across the nation and gathered for the conference in Phuket. The represent the legal teams that provide legal services between citizens and municipalities across Thailand.

Meanwhile, Phuket Governor said that Phuket is glad to welcome all the league members.

“Every one of them is considered to be people who are very close to local citizens and  who apply government policy to push development and well-being to their people.”

The seminar aims to train the officials from local administration organisations about laws to increase efficiency in their work and public service.

Phuket has excellent facilities and an extensive transport and accommodation network to host world class small and medium conferences and events.
