The mother of a Chinese man killed in a road accident while on holiday in Phuket is demanding justice and an explanation for how her son died. The Phuket Express reports that the 32 year old Chinese tourist was riding a motorbike around the island when he collided with a taxi. He was killed and his wife, who was a pillion passenger, broke her leg.
The man’s funeral was held at a local temple. His mother says he had just married 2 months prior to the incident, which took place on April 19 in Wichit, in the island’s main city area.
The victim’s mother, who along with her son and daughter-in-law has not been named, has put out a call to anyone who may have dash cam footage or know of CCTV footage of the accident.
Meanwhile, Phuket Police say they’re continuing the review the circumstances surrounding the accident. They have not identified the taxi driver involved.
