Both the ambulance driver, named only as 37 year old Eakkaluck, and his unnamed 34 year old patient, had sustained several injuries in the accident. The taxi driver, named only as Suppachai, was uninjured.

According to Eakkaluck, he had his emergency lights flashing and was sounding his warning siren when he drove through a red light at the intersection before colliding with the taxi. Footage of the incident shows the ambulance coming very close to overturning before the vehicle rights itself.

Wichit Police have launched an investigation to determine if legal action is required.
