A restaurant worker in Phuket Town has been injured after a teenage boy stabbed him in the leg.
The incident happened on the evening of Monday, August 19, at a restaurant on Lim Sui Ju Road, in the Talad Yai sub-district, reports the Phuket Express. Phuket City Police were alerted at around 6.30pm.
The unnamed restaurant owner told police that a teenage boy entered the restaurant and stabbed the worker in the right leg, before fleeing. The victim has been named as Pawin Chomjan. He sustained a serious but not life-threatening wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The restaurant owner says the incident shocked both customers and restaurant staff.
It’s not known if the victim and perpetrator knew each other. Police are now looking for the teenager, who has been identified only as Mr Jaroenrit.
