The driver of a pickup truck has sustained minor injuries after slamming the vehicle into a restaurant in Phuket.
The incident happened in the Khuan Din Dang area of Rassada, near Phuket Town, yesterday, September 9. It’s understood the truck collided with a power pole and ploughed into a restaurant.
Phuket City Police were alerted and arrived on the scene with rescue workers, to find a damaged pickup and power pole. The pole was later repaired by workers from the provincial electricity authority.
The authorities have not confirmed what charges, if any, the pickup driver may face, nor have they confirmed the estimated cost of damages to both the restaurant and the power pole.
