Rescue workers in Phuket have successfully rescued a distressed woman who jumped from a bridge in the Old Town area of the island (in Phuket Town). According to a Phuket Express report, the woman jumped from the Gor Jan Bridge in the sub-district of Talad Yai around 5.30am yesterday.

Workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation arrived at the scene where the 31 year old unnamed woman had jumped from a bridge into the canal below. It’s understood the water in the area was shallow and rescuers were able to pull her out and transport her to a local hospital. The motive for the woman’s action is not known.
