An important message about islands being closed to snorkelling and diving, or being closed to access altogether, primarily because of coral bleaching which has become extensive around Thailand’s coastlines, including the Andaman coast.
According to 5 Star Marine in Phuket, snorkelling and scuba diving are unavailable on some islands in Phi Phi National Park in Krabi. The Hat Noppharat Thara Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park in Krabi has announced a temporary closure for snorkelling and scuba diving at many islands due to coral bleaching.
The announcement was issued on Monday (May 13, 2024). The announcement took effect from Thursday (May 16, 2024) until further notice.
