Fresher winds today, directly out of the east, but otherwise a very hot day for the island with a top of 35 degrees. The winds will abate tomorrow but the high heat will continue until later this week. Moderate to occasionally strong easterly winds will kick up some choppy waves on Phang Nga Bay. Air quality is mixed this morning – some ‘good’ and ‘moderate’ readings of PM2.5 levels around the island today.

A surprise burst of rain in the north of the island in the early evening, but this weekend is going to be mostly fine with plenty of blue skies and light easterly winds and localised sea-breezes along the west coast. We’re heading into a very settled weather pattern over the next four or so days with a low chance of rain. There will still be a bit of cloud around but also lashings of sunshine during this period. Winds will be north easterly, light in the mornings then up to 15 kph in the early afternoons in open seas.
One the down side, the air pollution has become worse over recent days, a side effect of the poor air quality in central Thailand but that is set to improve in coming days. A top temperature of 31 today and 32 tomorrow.

A good week ahead with relatively stable weather and only a small chance of rain. For both today and tomorrow the only rain we might get will be later in the day, if at all. Air quality is a bit down at the moment due to the bad air quality and burning off activities in central Thailand, accompanied by a north easterly air flow.

The winds determined to stay in the easyt and north east, denoting the start of the north-eastern monsoon and more settled weather to come. After some heavy rain on parts of the island overnight, we’re heading for a clear morning with some cloud and sunshine followed by the possibility of rain later this afternoon or this evening. Still plenty little rain bands sweeping out of Phang Nga Bay this morning – whether they will drop rain on Phuket is completely unpredictable. So you might get rain, or not. Difficult to predict the rain at this time because of the capricious nature of tropical storms at this time of the year – they can appear out of nowhere at any time of the day. Mixed bag of weather over the weekend. There will be a few showers, but not many. There will be some cloud, but plenty of sunshine as well. Looks like a bit of respite fro the wet weather until later today. The radar shows plenty of rain having passed over the island and region earlier today, but nothing floating in from the Andaman for the next 4 – 5 hours or so. Winds are predominantly westerly today with a touch of north-west an fresh to strong at time.. But tomorrow the winds will swing a bit more south west and bat to moderate strength.
Air quality readings are good today around most of the island. The bouts of heavy rain will return this evening and tomorrow with Thursday looking a whole lot better. Top temperature today and tomorrow of 29 degrees.

Yes, it’s been raining, And there’s more to come, all the way through to at least Wednesday this week. In fact the rain will increase during these four days. So expect more flooding in Phuket during the next 4-5 days. Air quality is clear (excepting some errant monitoring stations around Thalang and Phuket Town. Winds are from the north-west (continuing this odd wind direction for this time of the year), and moderate to fresh in strength, increasing tomorrow. Temperature is 28 today and 29 tomorrow.

Enjoy today’s, mostly, dry conditions because there is rain ahead for the next 5 or 6 days, according to the forecast. Whilst there is plenty of rain cells around the island today, floating in from the north-west, most of the rain seems to be missing Phuket, until tonight.

A mostly could day today but last night and this morning’s bursts of rain may be the last for the day. Moderate to fresh south westerly winds will moderate as the day progresses. The streak of good weather continues today but will see some rain, probably later this evening. Although there could be some quick showers during the day. The moderate south westerly winds continue today but will tend more westerly tomorrow, kicking up some small surf along the west coast beaches. Mostly good air quality around the island today and top temperatures of 31 for the next two days.

Excellent weather continues but some patches of rain forecast during the early evening tonight and into tomorrow. Otherwise plenty of blue sky and fluffy, white clouds. Moderate south west winds will tend more southerly tomorrow. Excellent air quality at all monitoring stations this morning. A top temperature of 31 for both today and tomorrow.

Another excellent day ahead with moderate south westerly winds and a very low chance of rain, if at all, in the evening and into early tomorrow morning. A generally fine and clear day with a top temperature of 30. Clear air quality around the island today.

As promised, another great day ahead with moderate winds and a temperature of 31… does it get any better?! A possibility of some evening showers, but they will be brief, if at all. Tomorrow the south westerly winds will freshen a bit and there is a higher possibility of some showers, especially in the morning, according to the forecast. Consistent weather today with a low chance of rain. That situation will continue into tomorrow. Moderate winds tending more southerly today but the south-west monsoon is in full swing. Very good air quality around the island this morning and a top temperature of 31 for both today and tomorrow. In short, a great day to get out and enjoy yourself.

Classic wet season weather today with a threat of rain but, in reality today, not much on the radar although there will be plenty of cloud around. Moderate south westerly winds will moderate the temperature, keeping things below 30 degrees for the day. Appears to be some overnight or early morning rain on the way leading into Monday. Saturday, June 10, 2023 – Phuket weather and tide report (8:00 am)
Moderate monsoonal south westerly winds will drive the weather in Phuket this weekend… textbook monsoon behaviour! The radar shows a bit of rain activity approaching the island from the south west this morning. After a few showers overnight, most of today will be free of rain with more arriving again overnight and into tomorrow morning.

A bit more settled today and tomorrow with moderate south westerly winds abating from the strong winds we’ve had over the past week. You should get through today without any rain but it’s forecast to return early tomorrow. Clear air quality around Phuket today. Temperature of 31 and 30 for the next two days. Get out and enjoy it!

The wind has now swung full south-westerly, the stable wet season monsoon we should expect for the next four months. Winds will be fresh today but abate during tonight and into tomorrow. There will be some bands of rain but, otherwise, plenty of dry stretches as well. Excellent air quality across Phuket today. Top temperatures of 30 degrees for both today and tomorrow.

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 – Phuket weather and tide report (9:00 am)
Everyone’s back to work today after the 3 day long weekend. We should avoid most of the rain today until later in the afternoon. Then it will continue into Wednesday but slowly abate throughout the day. Fresh westerly winds today, veering more south westerly tomorrow and becoming moderate to fresh. Excellent air quality in Phuket today, according to the iqair.com monitors. A top temperature of 31 today and tomorrow.

Monday, June 5, 2023 – Phuket weather and tide report (9:00 am)
A return of some wet weather today, probably early afternoon. The island dogged a bullet this morning (as in the radar screen shot), when a large mass of rain skirted southward of Phuket. The westerly airflow, with a hint of south west, continues with fresh and occasionally strong winds making things a bit bumpy offshore. Clear air quality around Phuket today with a top temperature of 30 for both today and tomorrow.

Sunday, June 4, 2023 – Phuket weather and tide report (9:00 am)
Mostly sunshine today – enjoy it! Plenty of rays today as we get a break from the rain of the weak. But it will probably return very early tomorrow morning and continue throughout Monday, an official public holiday. The wind has a hit of ‘south’ in it today, shining from the west and north westerly directions from this week. Winds will be fresh today, out of the west, and becoming a bit stronger tomorrow.

Despite a drier night the rains will return today and continue tomorrow. But, as usual, you will have lashings of sunshine between the showers. Fresh winds from the west will moderate and veer more south west tomorrow. There could be some localised wind squalls with the bands of rain. Air quality is excellent. Remember it’s a three day long weekend. Today’s temperature will be 31 and tomorrow 30.
