A mostly sunny and fine day but the prospect of a few showers returning this evening and into Tuesday. Light to moderate west to north westerly winds with ‘good’ and ‘moderate’ air quality for the island today. Heavier rain is forecast to return by the middle of the week.

Start of a new month and staring down the end of the 2023 wet season. Today will be fine and sunny with light winds and light cloud. The same forecast for Monday as well. Welcome back the sunshine today with a very low chance of rain. Light to occasionally moderate winds from the south west, become variable later in the day then over the weekend. A top temperature of 30 degrees for today as well as the weekend. Only ‘moderate’ air today around the island as some haze is blowing in from the south west. Rain is forecast to return on Monday, but enjoy the good weather in the meantime.

We’re done with the rain today, according to the forecast, but some rain may start again this evening and into tomorrow, but less than the last few days. Good news, the weekend appears to be free of rain! Light to moderate south westerly winds are driving today’s weather and will tend more southerly tomorrow. Excellent air quality across most parts of the island today and a top temperature of 29 degrees for today and tomorrow.

The worst of today’s rain is probably behind us with the intensity dropping off during the day. Tomorrow there will be more rain but less than today. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 – Phuket weather and tide report (9am)
Looks like a bit of respite fro the wet weather until later today. The radar shows plenty of rain having passed over the island and region earlier today, but nothing floating in from the Andaman for the next 4 – 5 hours or so. Winds are predominantly westerly today with a touch of north-west an fresh to strong at time.. But tomorrow the winds will swing a bit more south west and bat to moderate strength.
Air quality readings are good today around most of the island. The bouts of heavy rain will return this evening and tomorrow with Thursday looking a whole lot better. Top temperature today and tomorrow of 29 degrees.

The forecast is for rain, and then more rain. Today will be the better of the next few days until Tuesday and Wednesday which look even worse. But it is the wettest time of the year, statistically. Saturday, September 23, 2023 – Phuket weather and tide report (2pm)
Yes, it’s been raining, And there’s more to come, all the way through to at least Wednesday this week. In fact the rain will increase during these four days. So expect more flooding in Phuket during the next 4-5 days. Air quality is clear (excepting some errant monitoring stations around Thalang and Phuket Town. Winds are from the north-west (continuing this odd wind direction for this time of the year), and moderate to fresh in strength, increasing tomorrow. Temperature is 28 today and 29 tomorrow.

Enjoy today’s, mostly, dry conditions because there is rain ahead for the next 5 or 6 days, according to the forecast. Whilst there is plenty of rain cells around the island today, floating in from the north-west, most of the rain seems to be missing Phuket, until tonight.
Moderate, to fresh at times, northwesterly winds are driving the weather today and providing mostly ‘good’ air quality for Phuket. Today will be mostly overcast but any rain will be brief. But get your umbrellas ready for Friday and the weekend.

Some rain bands will float across Phuket today, out of the north west, but should pass quickly. Bottomline, there will be plenty of space between any rain today to play outside or head offshore. Winds will be west to north-westerly, light to moderate in strength. Mostly clear air quality around the island today.
Tomorrow the winds will tend south westerly at the same strength as today with a few more patches of isolated rain. That pattern will continue for the start of next week.

Light winds around the island today on another excellent day to get out and about around the island and offshore. ‘Moderate’ air pollution today with smoke wafting up from the south, mostly blue skies with a return of rain later tonight and into tomorrow morning. At this stage the forecast is for some rain on the weekend. A top temperature today of 31 and tomorrow, 29.

A forecast for great weather over the next four days. Today we’ll have light southerly winds across the island and a top temperature of 30 degrees. Patches of sunshine and clouds but very little chance of any rain interruptions. Clear air quality across the island today. There appears to be, at this time on the radar, a line of rain heading towards Phuket that would arrive around 11am-12pm, but will likely dissipate before it gets here…

Strong winds from the west again today, with some north-westerly airflow as well. Mostly ‘good’ air quality around the island except for this ‘sticky’ monitor in Phuket Town that remains the only one not to go ‘green’.

Despite the forecast, Saturday has turned out to be a spectacular day with fresh north westerly winds and plenty of blur skies. There is a chance of rain overnight and then, increasingly throughout Sunday. Sunday’s winds will also includes from fresh, today, to strong winds tomorrow – again from the north west.
This north west airstream is quite unusual for this time of the year when south west monsoon is reliable and consistent. But not this year.

It’s the middle of summer in Thailand. Not that you’d know it on the island of Phuket today. Fresh west to north-westerly winds, up to 25 kph at times with the occasional rain squall wafting in from the Andaman Sea. Clean air around the island today, and there will be patches of sunshine. So head out, but take your umbrella on this Mothers Day weekend (commemorating the 91st birthday of the Queen Mother). Top temperature of 29 today and tomorrow and a promise of a wet week to come.

Another spectacular day as Phuket waits to find out if it’s won the bid for the 2028 World Specialised Expo. A few clouds around but otherwise an almost perfect Phuket weather day. Bing, bang, boom! A big noise and light show passed over the island from the east last night around 8pm. And the same is likely to happen over the next days at least with some tropical storms dropping some rain on parts of the island. Watch out for random storms coming in from the east from 6pm tonight.
But great days ahead for heading offshore and exploring with generally fair conditions on Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman Sea. Light to variable winds today, tending north easterly, and moderate easterly winds tomorrow.

Moderate to strong north westerly winds herald the transition from the north easterly monsoon (~December to April) to the south westerly monsoon (~May to November), which should start later this month. High cloud and poor air quality blocking out the worst of the Phuket sun today but, otherwise, a great day outdoors. Another hot day on the way after the wind has swung around to the north west for the next few days. Moderate north westerly winds are blowing cleaner air over the island out of the Andaman Sea, rather than from the smokey areas in Cambodia. A warm and sunny Sunday awaits with a top temperature of 32. Generally easterly winds persist with ‘moderate’ air quality around most of the island today. No rain on the horizon for the forecast period through most of this week.
Tomorrow will be even warmer at 33 degrees as the temperatures start creeping up as we head into the hot season. Strong easterly winds will help keep things comfortable tomorrow. A great start to Phuket’s weather week.

Perfect weekend on the way with top temperatures around 32 degrees for both days. Officials, today is the start of the ‘hot’ season in Thailand. And Phuket celebrates with a near-perfect day. Light to moderate easterly winds today that will continue tomorrow and freshen a bit during the late morning. Slightly overcast with occasional lashings of sunshine today to kick off excellent weather for the long weekend. No rain on the horizon for Saturday.

A bit of high cloud around today keeping the temperature to a ‘slightly’ cooler 29 degrees. Light to moderate east to north easterly winds and some rain expected roll in from the east sometime during the mid afternoon. Indication of the rain bands indicated on our radar shot this morning. Air quality today has returned to ‘good’.
For the weekend a slight chance of some showers early in the evening tomorrow but otherwise both days will be fine, the most sunshine on Sunday with both days expecting a top of 31 glorious degrees.

After a few noisy thunderstorms rolling across the centre of the island early last evening, Thursday is starting with a generally fine and sunny day. A top temperature of 31 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds will peak around 11am this morning and then dissipate during the afternoon. A low possibility of some early evening showers, don’t even bother taking an umbrella with you today. Air quality is hazy today and ‘unhealthy’ in some areas.
Tomorrow there will be some early afternoon rain, moderate easterly winds and a top of 30 degrees.

Some cloud around today but with plenty of sunshine, especially around the middle of the day. Some rain clouds will roll in from the east and drop some rain on parts of the island around 5pm, much the same as last night’s thunderstorms around 7pm. Wind will be from the east of moderate strength throughout the day – a good day to head off island. Tomorrow’s weather will be much the same.

Settled and sunny day with moderate east and north easterly winds abating to light northerly winds later in the day. There’ll be plenty of high cloud around and some rain clouds might float across from the east later in the day producing some early evening rain. Top temperature for today and tomorrow is 32 degrees.
Air quality is considered ‘unhealthy’ today. But the worst of the bad air quality are in Bangkok and central Thailand and the North today.

Moderate to strong easterly winds return this morning but will lighten to moderate winds later in the day. Very little chance of rain today but high cloud filtering out the strongest of Phuket’s sunshine today. The island has registered ‘unhealthy’ air quality today according to iqair.com, with a north easterly airflow blowing smoke and smog down from Cambodian fires today.

Moderate to strong easterly winds feature in today’s weather on the island, producing waves up to 2 metres in open waters. Otherwise plenty of sunshine, mixed with high cloud, with a very low chance of rain. Monday’s weather will continue to be sunny and fine but the easterly winds will abate to just moderate strengths.

Phuket weather for Tuesday. Heading for a top of 31 today. Some more showers heading our way for a mid-afternoon to early evening arrival on the island, following some quite heavy showers last night.

After some light showers over parts of the island last night, we have a mostly fine day. But, again, a 50% chance of some rain in the early evening today. That same pattern will continue into Monday and Tuesday when we can expect a few showers in the evening on each day. Out on the water there are light to moderate winds from the east.

A perfect Phuket weekend is here and the weather is cooperating. Plenty of sunshine and mostly blue skies and a top of 31 degrees on both days. ‘Good’ to ‘moderate’ air quality around the island and some light, high altitude cloud. On the water there is light to moderate winds, lightening off as the afternoon progresses, and veering from a predominantly easterly to southerly direction.

A return to perfection in today’s weather with no chance of rain and plenty of sunshine accompanied by some high cloud. A mostly clear radar this morning but the forecast suggests there is up to a 95% of rain between 2 – 6pm today, so you might take that umbrella with you if a quick smattering of rain appears whilst you’re out and about. More great high-season weather today (even though this is Thailand’s ‘winter’) although there could be some showers in the early evening. But there is a chance of some rain bands arriving on the island later in the afternoon and early evening. But the rain showers will be brief if they emerge. Light to moderate winds, veering from the north east early to the north west later in the day. The air quality is ‘moderate’ today. Top temperature today is 31.
There is likely to be more rain today in parts of Thailand’s south, closer to the Malaysian border.

Despite the media reports yesterday of storms and heavy rain in Phuket (and parts of southern Thailand) at least here in Phuket it will still be a mostly fine and sunny day. There could be a few localised showers early in the afternoon but will clear up. Today’s winds will start moderate from the north east then abate as the afternoon goes on. Another mostly sunny day but a possible interruption mid to late afternoon with a band or rain. There was a patch of rain, heavy in some locations around 6.30-7pm last night.

Light and variable winds during the day, strengthening slightly later in the afternoon, primarily from the north west. After a few spots of rain late yesterday afternoon (as forecast), this morning’s radar is clear.
