Emergency workers on Koh Samui have rescued a UK tourist after he fell from the top of a waterfall on the Gulf island. The 20 year old man, named in a Phuket Express report as Joshua Peter Kohler, was seriously injured in the fall.
According to Samui District Chief Chayaphon Intarasupa, it took over 4 hours for around 30 officials and rescue workers to pull Mr Kohler up from the very high, steep Na Mueang 2 Waterfall. He was transferred to a local hospital for medical treatment.
It’s understood Mr Kohler was visiting the waterfall with 7 other friends, when they decided to walk to the top of it, despite several signs in the area warning of the dangers of doing so.
