Ten Bangkok commuters have been injured following a road rage incident between a bus and a songthaew. A Bangkok bus crashed into the side of a songthaew on Sukhapibal 3 Road, in the district of Minburi, yesterday morning.

That no one was not seriously injured is a miracle when you see how badly the songthaew was crushed.
Commuters say the collision was the result of road rage and a ‘speeding competition’ between both drivers. It’s understood the electric bus eventually ploughed into the left-hand side of the songthaew, causing passengers to fall on top of each other. Ten people were injured and the songthaew was severely damaged.
According to passenger testimony, the songthaew driver had abruptly changed lanes, slowing the progress of the bus behind it. The bus driver reacted angrily, accelerating and cutting in front of the songthaew driver. Both vehicles then engaged in repeatedly overtaking each other, which ended when the bus drove into the songthaew.
The drivers of both vehicles have been summoned for questioning to decide if either or both will face charges.
