BREAKING: Pita Limcharoenrat, former Move Forward Party leader and aspirant Thai PM, thanked supporters after the Constitutional Court ruled that he didn’t violate the charter or the election laws with his shareholdings in a defunct TV channel called iTV. He took to Facebook to thank his many supporters.
The court ruled that iTV Plc “had ceased to be a media organisation in March 2007” when the Thai government revoked its broadcasting licence after failing to pay concession fees.
The Move Forward Party won the highest number of votes and MPs at the last election but Pita was unable to gather a coalition to form government.
