A 69 year old British man has died in Pattaya after falling from the window of his hotel room. The Pattaya News reports that the man fell to his death in the early hours of yesterday morning, February 4.
It’s understood the man was staying in a room on the fourth floor of a hotel on Pattaya’s Soi Buakhao. He was found seriously injured on the ground outside the hotel after seemingly falling from his window at around 2am.
The man received emergency medical treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police are currently withholding his name until next-of-kin have been notified.
According to Anirut Jaro, investigating officer with Pattaya Police, there were no signs of foul play inside the man’s room and the cause of the incident has not yet been determined. The authorities are now liasing with the British Embassy to notify the man’s family and make arrangements for his body, which remains at the hospital.
On the same morning a 60 year old Swedish swim coach also died after falling from the third floor of another hotel on Pattaya’s Third Road. Again, with this incident, police say there were no signs of disturbance in the man’s room.
