Much of the country can expect heavy rainfall between now and Tuesday, July 25, according to the Thai Meteorological Department. According to a report by the National News Bureau of Thailand, the TMD has issued a warning of flash floods and overflows.

For Phuket, we expect very little rain today, maybe overnight, and more tomorrow. Full report HERE.

The monsoon trough is expected to bring heavy downpours to the north and east of the country, as well as western coasts in the South (that includes the Andaman coast). As the trough moves off to other countries from Wednesday, July 26, the situation is expected to ease.

The TMD has issued a warning of severe weather creating flash floods and overflows along waterways and in low-lying areas. Residents are being advised to remain cautious and heed weather warnings. Motorists are also advised to be extra careful on the roads.

Strong winds and thunderstorms are also forecast for the Andaman Sea and upper Gulf, with small boats urged to stay ashore and remain up to date with the latest weather forecasts.
