Officers from Krabi Immigration have arrested a British man and a British woman for working illegally at a nightclub in Ao Nang.

The Phuket Express reports that immigration officials carried out an inspection at the unnamed club yesterday, April 2. A British woman, named only as 37 year old “Karen” was found working as an MC at the venue, while a British man, 45 year old “Gareth”, was working as a DJ.

Neither of the two could produce work permits and they were both taken to Ao Nang Police Station to be charged with working illegally in the kingdom.

Meanwhile, a Ms. Warinthorn was named as the manager of the venue. She has admitted that the nightclub was also operating illegally and she too was taken to Ao Nang Police Station to be charged with opening an entertainment venue without the required permissions.
