The mother of a young Malaysian woman who has gone missing in Thailand has pleaded with the public to help find her daughter. According to a Coconuts report, the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok is now investigating the disappearance of 22 year old Angie Chong Sum Yee.

It’s understood the woman travelled alone to Chiang Mai and has since disappeared. Her mother has taken to Facebook to ask for the public’s help in locating her daughter. She has also lodged formal complaints with the Thai and Malay authorities.

“Please help me find this girl. She has been missing for 24 hours. The last place she was at is Chiang Mai, Thailand.”

Chow Won says the last time she saw any sign of activity from her daughter was at 10.00pm on Thursday, June 1, which shows as the “last seen” timestamp on her WhatsApp account. Since then, there is no record of the missing woman being active on any social media accounts and she has not responded to any messages.
