Phang Nga police arrest 2 men with 18,000 meth pills and 2 kilograms of crystal meth

Police in Phang Nga have arrested 2 drug suspects and confiscated 18,000 methamphetamine pills and 2 kilogramss of crystal meth (a very large quantity), according to a Phuket Express report.

The suspects have been named as 51 year old Samsu Hayeeloa and 30 year old Masawlae Baga. According to the report, they were both arrested in front of a Shell petrol station in the Mueang district. They are understood to be from the southern province of Pattani, on the Malaysian border.

Following the arrests, officers also seized 18,000 methamphetamine pills and 2 kilogramss of crystal methamphetamine. The crystal meth had been concealed in 2 separate bags at the men’s home in the Thap Put district of Phang Nga.

Both men have been charged with possession of dangerous narcotics and remain in custody ahead of legal proceedings against them.
