The accident occurred in the northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, in the early hours of yesterday morning, March 19. The long-haul double-decker coach, operated by Lotusphibul Tours, was travelling to Bangkok from Bueng Kan province.

It’s understood the accident happened in the main city district of Nakhon Ratchasima at around 2am, when the bus ploughed into the steel leg of a directions sign. Local police say the driver appears to have lost control at a curve while descending to a bridge over a railway track.

The police say 4 of the injured are in a serious condition at Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital. The remainder were treated for their injuries and discharged.
