Whilst the real Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll and still the biggest selling solo artist of all time, died in August 1977, his memory lives on. Particularly in Thailand.
On Sunday night, August 28, Patong will come alive to renditions of Elvis’s biggest hits by five of Thailand’s most popular tribute performers, backed by the Little EL Band.
AJM Group presents the event and it will be held at Patong’s Naga Pub & Restaurant (in Soi Sansabai). Tickets are 1,000 baht (including 2 drinks and snacks) and 1,500 baht (including 4 drinks and snacks). Doors open from 6pm and the show goes from 8 – 10pm.
Call 08 7628 2680 for reservations. Or tickets are available at the door on Sunday night.
Thailand has a long story with Elvis Presley since HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit met the other ‘King’ in Hollywood whilst Elvis was filming there at the time in 1960. Elvis tribute artists still perform regularly around Thailand as the Elvis legend lives on.
