British tourist stabbed in battle with Phuket ladyboys

A British man has been stabbed after getting into a fight with 3 ladyboys at his condo in Phuket. The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday morning, February 22.

It’s understood the 23 year old British tourist had invited 3 ladyboys from Patong to his condo near Kata Hill in Karon. According to Surasak Sudmuang of Karon Police, investigating officers were told the tourist had agreed to pay the ladyboys 4,000 baht each.

The trio arrived at the condo at around 3am, at which point the Briton decided to only pay one of them 2,000 baht, telling the other 2 to leave (oh yeah, that would have gone down well). It seems this is what started the dispute, which quickly escalated to a physical fight.

One source claims the ladyboys were trying to take the man’s wallet. He allegedly started hitting them, while they allegedly were “throwing things around the room” and breaking various items.

The fight culminated with one of the ladyboys grabbing a kitchen knife, apparently in “self-defence”, inflicting a knife injury on the British man.

According to the Phuket News report, 2 people injured in the fracas have been taken to the central Dibuk Hospital for treatment. Another was taken to southern Chalong Hospital for treatment of a head injury and stitches for a wound on the arm.

Another 2 individuals have been taken to Karon Police Station. Police are investigating the incident in order to press charges.
