A Russian restaurant manager has been shot whilst sitting in his pale blue GWM Ora Good Cat. Four shots were fired into the windscreen. The incident happened outside the Anise Tapas Bar in Boat Avenue, Cherng Talay.
The male victim has been taken to hospital. His is reported to be the Russian owner or manager of one of the adjacent restaurants. He has been named as 44 year old Aleynikov Dmitry. naewna.com reports that he was shot in the chest and his left arm, and that he was “seriously injured” but his injuries were “not considered life threatening”, according to emergency responders who arrived on the scene.
The gunman, reported as being “foreign”, made a swift getaway on his motorbike. He was dressed in a red helmet with full visor and a green riding jacket.
Police reported that they’d tracked the escape route of the gunman on CCTV and later found a riding jacket, runners, gloves and a gun that were dumped in a lake about 1 kilometre from the shooting location.
