A man has died in a truck accident in Phuket that left his 12-year-old daughter with minor injuries.
The Phuket Express reports that the accident happened in Karon, when a six-wheeled truck tumbled down a hill, at around 7pm yesterday, February 29. It’s understood the truck was being used to transport a crane down a hill on Soi Patak 12, on the Patak Road to Karon Hill.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the driver’s body outside the truck. His 12 yea -old daughter had sustained minor injuries. The dead man has been named only as 43-year-old Mr. Akkadet, originally from Kanchanaburi.
Khundet Na Nongkhai, chief of Karon Police says the truck was travelling to a construction site on the road, but he believes the driver may have been unfamiliar with the road conditions.
