Phuket police arrest Polish man accused of stealing from supermarket

A Polish man has been arrested in Phuket for allegedly stealing from a supermarket in Rawai.

The Phuket Express reports that the man is accused of stealing food and drinks with a combined value of 13,376 baht. Chalong Police have confirmed the arrest of a 49 year old Polish national, who was apprehended at an unnamed supermarket yesterday, February 7.

Arresting officers seized stolen items including an avocado, a bottle of honey, beer, a bottle of olive oil, two bottles of whiskey, butter and a box of tea. The suspect has been taken to Chalong Police Station to be charged with theft.

The police have not named the man at this stage.
