Rescue workers in Phuket have come to the aid of two tourists who got lost at Laem Krating, or Krating Cape, in the southwest of the island. The unnamed tourists were visiting the scenic viewpoint when they managed to lose their bearings and found themselves stranded.

The viewpoint is accessed from Ao Sane beach, but getting there involves climbing some steep slopes and a walk along the cliffs. It’s a popular location for those Instagram selfies.
According to a Phuket Express report, workers from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Rawai Municipality were informed of the tourists’ plight on the evening of Wednesday, July 5. The visitors reported that they had got lost and were unable to find their way back from the viewpoint in the dark.
Rescuers went to look for them and located the tourists, one of whom had a minor injury, a short while later.
