A search is underway off Phuket’s southern west coast after a fisherman spotted, what he believes to be, the body of a foreigner floating in the sea.
The fisherman reported that while fishing around 16 nautical miles off Karon Beach yesterday, December 13, he spotted the body of a “male foreigner” floating in the water. The man was reportedly only wearing a shirt with nothing on his lower half.
The Royal Thai Navy subsequently notified rescue divers from the volunteer Kusoldharm Foundation and a search got underway. But the Phuket Express reports that divers have so far been unable to locate the body, which had floated away.
The search resumed this morning.
