Details from the Krabi People’s Protection Foundation reveal that there has been a shooting incident in the vicinity of the hotels and accommodation at the Phi Phi Islands National Park, resulting in at least one person being injured.
The incident happened around noon today. The two people involved were staffers for the Maya Bay tourism service.
The injured individuals have been promptly transported to the hospital, and the latest update indicates that authorities are investigating the incident.
Other reports suggest that a national park officer was shot by another park officer.
The Head of Phi Phi Islands National Park, Mr. Yutthapong Damsrisuk, headed to the scene of the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that the shooting incident was related to “personal issues”.
