A Russian tourist has been injured after inadvertently getting caught up in a row between a Thai couple in Phuket.
The Phuket Express reports that on Tuesday night, November 28, the unnamed Russian was at an entertainment venue on Patong’s Bangla Road when a Thai couple began arguing.
The row escalated and became physical, culminating in a glass of whiskey being thrown, which struck the Russian bystander, who was left with minor head injuries.
Following much debate, the Thai woman involved in the row agreed to pay compensation to both the venue and the Russian.
According to the report, the Phuket Tourist Police did not disclose the identity of the Thai couple or the Russian tourist.
