Police in Phuket have made two arrests following the fatal stabbing of a man in Patong. The Phuket News reports that a karaoke bar employee died from a fatal stab wound to the right side of his chest.
The victim, 24 year old Itthinan Khola, was originally from the northeastern province of Nong Bua Lamphu. His body was found on Phra Metta Road, outside the Up2U Karaoke bar, at 5.30am yesterday, December 28.
A suspect, named as 32 year old Nachat Rattanarat, from the southern province of Surat Thani, is in custody after he was found walking along the road with minor injuries to his face.
According to the Phuket News report, Patong Police made a second arrest later in the day, detaining a man outside the Tops convenience store on Sirirat Road.
The second suspect has not been named by police, but the authorities say they also seized the knife used in the stabbing, along with a white shirt worn by the second suspect at the time of the attack.
Both men are being held at Patong Police Station and face charges of “killing others with intent”.
