A Swiss man accused of kicking a female Thai doctor in the back also allegedly obstructed an ambulance and verbally assaulted its driver.

The Phuket News reports that Urs Fehr, owner of the Green Elephant Sanctuary Park in north Phuket, obstructed an ambulance last December, before lowering his window to give the driver the middle finger, saying “fuck you” in the process.

Fehr is already accused of kicking a Thai doctor in the back as she sat on some steps leading to his villa at Yamu Beach. That story is dominating the headlines, having gained traction on social media and sparked outrage among Thai netizens.

It has also prompted the resurrection of the ambulance incident, which occurred on December 25 as the ambulance was transporting vaccines to a mobile clinic at the Robinson Lifestyle Thalang shopping mall, near Heroines Monument, in Thalang.

According to the ambulance driver, a black Audi car with red licence plates cut in front of him on Thepkrasattri Road. The driver, understood to be Fehr, allegedly made his hand into the shape of a gun, then gave the middle finger. He then lowered his window to swear at the ambulance driver.

A video of the incident subsequently went viral on social media, prompting outrage from netizens. The ambulance driver also filed a report with Thalang Police, who summoned Fehr for questioning.

The Swiss man presented himself at Thalang Police Station on January 3, accompanied by his wife. It’s understood he offered a “wai” as an apology, which the ambulance driver says was “not sincere” due to the look on the Swiss man’s face.

On January 11, Fehr again presented himself at the police station with his wife and, through his lawyer, submitted a signed affidavit that he would not engage in such behaviour again. During that meeting, it’s understood an argument ensued and Fehr stormed out of the room. He later returned and muttered another “insincere” apology to the ambulance driver.

It’s understood the Swiss expat has also filed a complaint with Chergntalay Police over video of the incident with the ambulance being posted online.
